Bud was a dear friend to my Aunt Jan. He was a very kind person with lots of great stories. My family and I had much respect for this hardworking and mechanically talented person. We spent many holidays with Bud and always made sure he had an invite. He enjoyed seeing my my three daughters as they enjoyed seeing CAPTAIN BUD. I feel fortunate to have known this kind man and witness the wonderful friendship he shared with my Aunt. Rest in peace Bud .
Bud was my boss and my friend. Summertime will never quite be the same without him. When it came to boats, I don't know anyone on his level of creativity. He had a passion for all things nautical and a work ethic that always amazed me. Bud once told me that i was the only other person he would trust to drive the Trade Winds. Coming from Bud, that is the highest praise I have received as a captain and something i will never forget. I will keep that as a badge of honor. Jason, i am so very sorry for your loss.
