Buddy H. Breitmeyer's Obituary
Buddy H. Breitmeyer age 76 of Clay Twp., MI. died February 28, 2019 in the Medilodge of St. Clair. He was born May 15, 1942 in Troy, MI. to the late Harold and Luella (nee Weston) Breitmeyer. He married Marcia Schiellerd on June 8, 1973 in Cypress Gardens, FL., she died September 14, 1998.
Buddy built and captained the "TRADE WINDS IV" along with his wife and son. He also, built, owned, and operated the "ISLANDER" passenger ferry between Algonac, MI. and Russell Island, MI. for over 33 years.
Mr. Breitmeyer is survived by his son Jayson (Lisa) Breitmeyer, his dear friend and companion Jan Evans, and many dear friends from Russell Island.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday March 5, 2019 in the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac. Visitation 1-4 & 6-9 PM Monday in the funeral home.
