Chester was the highlight of my weeks. I’ll miss our weekly talks and catching up on the latest baseball during his transfusions.
I still hear him asking me for a turkey sandwich and ginger ale.

These are few pictures over the years, that I wanted to capture of my time with my grandfather. From just a toddler to my first year in the Navy to time home for my grandmothers funeral while wearing my newly earned Chief Petty Officer attire.

Being a Military man himself from the years prior, he was always able to comprehend my need to serve as well. Proud was a word that he often used when speaking with me. And we always chatted “ship” for a bit during our calls.

I remember awhile back dropping off some things for Kelly to Mary & Chet's place in Macomb, and they were and always have been so warm and friendly. They hugged me and treated me like family. He will be missed! 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
