Chester Edward Sutton's Obituary
Chester Edward Sutton age 86 of Clay Twp., MI passed away April 1, 2026 in his home. He was born November 3, 1939 in Algonac, MI to the late Henry Sr. and Anna (nee Cassady) Sutton. He married Mary Lou Hooks on July 26, 1986 in Warren, MI. She
passed away July 25, 2021.
Chester was a US Army Veteran. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved taking long drives along the water with his wife Mary and spending time with his grandchildren and other family members.
Mr. Sutton is survived by his daughters Kelly Poser and Bonnie Caudell, siblings James Sutton and Kathy Dubick, grandchildren Larry (Jennifer) Hooks, Jennifer Hooks, Kathryn Carbeno, Hunter Poser, Noah Poser, Maxwell Poser, and Kristian Poser, great grandchildren Spencer, Joshua, Natalie, Hailey, Skylar, Caydence, Dakota, Cooper, and Landon. He was preceded in death by brothers Henry Sutton Jr., Richard Sutton, Robert Sutton, and Michael Sutton.
A memorial funeral mass will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements entrusted to the Young Gilbert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Algonac, MI.
