Connie was a good neighbor from 1984 when we moved to Algonac until she moved to Sterling Hts. She had fun entertaining the grandson of another neighbor as if he was her own. She had a grand front porch warmed by the sun in the winter where she would spend a lot of time reading. She loved to read and shared her library books with other neighbors before returning them. She survived cancer treatment with the accompanying loss of hair. During the summer after their fishing days were over, she spent as much time outdoors as possible. She would sit on the gravel driveway and dig out all the little sprouts of weeds, or in the grass picking out the weeds and clover. I envied her ability to get up and down as though I'm 10 yrs her junior when I get down, I have trouble standing. I've missed her since she moved last spring.
