Just learned of David’s passing a few months late. I worked with Dave during his brief stint at NTN Bearing. We both hit it off immediately for some strange reason. I and another Harsen Island friend decided to swim the channel and David was in his boat to make sure we didn’t have any problems. I remember him in front of us as we gagged on the boat fumes and then he thought it would be funny to throw pumpkins seeds shells at us. He always was fun to be around with. I also have fond memories of his ferry boat parties. Nancy and family so sorry for your loss
David was a very kind and generous person. He never let others know. He was very humble. My son worked as a deckhand for David. He was always good to my son. He was good to my family at the Sans Souci Bar especially during ice jams. Thank you for all you did for us.
David was always so wonderful, kind and very generous to my father Patrick (Packy) Smith. Our family will be forever grateful to David and Nancy for their kindness. May God comfort you and your family and help ease the pain in the days ahead. With deepest heartfelt sympathy.

I remember once I had to go to the office and pick up paperwork to go do a drug test and David seen me there. He asked me how I was doing and what I was doing and I told him I had to get the paperwork to go take my drug test, he looked at me with a straight face and said well I hope you studied hard 😊😊
