David Champion Bryson's Obituary
David Champion Bryson, age 73, of Harsens Island passed away February 1, 2024. He was born March 12, 1950, to John (Jack) and Joyce Bryson.
David C Bryson was a loving husband of 47 years, a father, a brother, and a grandfather. His grandkids affectionately called him Grumps. David graduated from Algonac High School, Michigan Tech with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, and an MBA from Michigan State. David took over running Champions Auto Ferry in 1987 which his grandfather, Art Champion, founded in 1937. David loved working at the ferry, there was seldom a day when you did not see him there. David has an adventurous soul that liked water skiing, mountain climbing, scuba diving, and absolutely loved duck hunting and snow skiing. David enjoyed telling jokes and making people laugh. He helped many people out in his community without wanting any recognition. He was a force of nature, hardworking and loved his family. There will be a celebration of life for family and friends at a later date.
