I am so sad to hear of Stony's passing, just last night. I worked for AAFES in loss prevention in the 1990's. Our incident reports went to Stony for review and processing. I would have more red ink on my report then black ink.. lol, but Stony was fair, he taught me so much that I still use today as a law enforcement officer. I spent as much time as I could talking with Stony, listing to the many stories from his Army days. He always said "Tim your a good man". I am so proud to have known him. Prayers to his family, he will be missed. Semper FI Stony

I met Stoney over twenty-seven years ago, working on Selfridge ANGB. He was a person that I had a great deal of respect for, and I would consider him a true friend. Since I relocated several years ago, I have not been in touch with him, but I am often reminded of our chats at his office or home. He always had interesting stories about his days in the service, but I recall his conversations of his boys the most. Such a proud Father. He also always had this ratty bear on the dashboard of his truck. It was utterly sun-damaged and covered with electrical tape, but he remarked how it had belonged to his Father. Seeing a man you admired shows such dedication to his wife, his children, and maintaining a connection with his Father, who probably had long since passed, let you know the measure of a man and a worthy person to respect. I will miss our conversation, my friend, until the moment we meet again.

We were so sad to hear of Stoney's passing. We have been friends with the Stones for over 53 years. That in its self is something. Our condolences go to his beautiful family. We send our prayers and love to Dolores. May Stoney's soul be at peace. We will miss you !

So sorry to hear of Stoney's death. What a fine man. Frank told me many stories about him and his career in the military. So glad You and Stoney came to Florida where we had so much fun for a short visit. My prayers are with your family.
