Harliss "Stoney" Stone's Obituary
Harliss Stone age 76 of Clay Twp., MI. passed away October 1, 2021 in his home. He was born October 8, 1944 in Roundhead, OH. to the late Mason and Edna (nee Griffith) Stone. He married Dolores M. Xuereb on May 24, 1968 in the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Detroit, MI.
Mr. Stone retired from the U S Army in 1985 after 20 years of service. He then retired from the Selfridge Air National Guard Base, as a civil service worker, in 2006.
Mr. Stone is survived by his wife of 53 years Dolores, his children John Stone, Jeffrey (Kimberly) Stone, and Anthony Stone, grandchildren Jennifer Stone, John Stone Jr., Justine Stone, and Alexander Stone, siblings Opal Worthington, Avonelle Lovell, Joyce Pittman, Audrey Fay Brown, Elwood Stone, and Billy Stone. He was preceded in death by siblings, Kathy McMillion, James Stone, Dairl Stone, Hubert Stone, and his twin brother Eugene Stone.
Mr. Stone will be instate at 10:30 AM with Mass at 11:30 AM Tuesday October 5, 2021 in Our Lady on the River Parish St. Catherines Catholic Church, Algonac. Visitation 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday October 4, 2021 in the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac. Burial will be in the St. Catherines Cemetery, Algonac. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Donor\'s Choice.
