I just found out about Jim's passing, but wanted to add my tribute to this wonderful man. Jim always took exceptional care of me, when I was one of his customers at Lumber Jack in Marine City. His smile was infectious and his knowledge of lumber and construction was incredible. I was honored to have known him. My deepest sympathy to his family. Jack Steinmetz.

I got to know Jim a few years ago as participants in the Washington Life Center Golf group. He was a true gentleman and an excellent golfer, even at an advanced age.
