Joann Louise Sharrow's Obituary
Joann Louise Sharrow went to be with her Creator and Savior suddenly in January 2025.
Josie was born in Mt Clemens, MI on 13 June 1960 to Donald and Marion Schonschack. She graduated from Mt Clemens High School and served as an acolyte at St Louis Catholic Church in Mt Clemens.
In 1987, she married Michael Sharrow. They enjoyed travelling and attending plays at the Stratford Theatre in Ontario, Canada. A widow of 20 years, Joann kept busy with those same pursuits plus reading novels, listening to Steely Dan, and watching the freighters pass by with a Dairy Queen delight in hand.
Being an avid animal lover, she was known to take in many, many homeless hamsters, when she wasn’t busy creating songs to sing to her siblings on their birthdays.
Joann was an active member of St Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church and often read the liturgical readings at mass. For several years, she volunteered at the Henry Ford River District Hospital in East China, Mi.
Joann is survived by her sisters: Jeri-Sue (Al) Harraman of Cedar Springs, MI; Vicki (Bill) Sprow of Macomb, MI; Mary (Rob) Bromley of Lake Isabella, MI; Ann (Jay) Bhat of Brighton, MI; and her brother, Paul (Renee) Schonschack of Farmington, MI. She was the aunt to 25 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Michael, and brothers Donald and Benjamin Schonschack.
Memorial services are pending.
