Mary Ann Smith's Obituary
Mary Ann Smith age 94 of Harsens Island, MI, passed away March 17, 2025 in the Blue Water Hospice Home, Marysville, MI. She was born May 20, 1930 in St. Clair, MI to the late Capt. William H. and Lenore (Sullivan) Smith.
Mary Ann retired from General Motors Corp in 1988 with over 40 years’ service and having served as secretary to the president of GM. She was a life long resident of Harsens Island, and still lived in the home that has been in the family over 100 years.
Ms. Smith is survived by nieces Gail Zawada, Patricia Smith, and Mary Ellen (Michael) Kalkhoff, and a nephew Patrick J. Smith. She was preceded in death by a brother Patrick H. Smith, sister Ellen Bindek, niece Mary Ellen Scherio., and a nephew William Bindek.
Visitation 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday March 23, 2025, with a scripture service 7:00 PM in the Young Gilbert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Algonac, MI. A committal service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday in the St. Catherines Catholic Cemetery, Algonac.
