The world has lost a beautiful bright light, Sallie. We will miss seeing her lovely smile at the Memorial Day parades. We will never forget the effort she made to attend our brother Dave's funeral to offer our mother her condolences as she also knew the pain of losing a son. So sorry to hear of Sallie's passing. I just saw her recently in a hospital lobby. She remembered me from 10 years ago and gave me a wonderful hug. She was a spectacular person. I will always remember her and how happy she made me feel whenever she was near. I learned much from her and pray I can be half as kind as she was.
Sallie Rose Highstreet Spreen has always been a model of kindness in my life. She and my mother and my Aunt Fannie George (neighbors on High Road) were good friends. Sallie faced many challenges with strength. Sallie was an innovator, enhancing the lives of senior citizens, fellow Toastmasters, and her church community. Sallie was a force. I shall miss her.

Sally was such a sweet, kind lady who lived and enjoyed life so much. I remember her well from my childhood days. She was always smiling. She will be missed. John she will continue to watch over and the rest of the family. I know you know how very Proud she was of you,rest assured she will continue to watch over you and your family.
