Wayne Douglas Elliott's Obituary
Wayne Douglas Elliott, age 75, of Clay Township, passed away unexpectedly, July 21, 2023, in his home. He was born May 20, 1948, in Neon, Kentucky, to the late Roy and Herma (Watts) Elliott.
Wayne was a proud Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War. During his tour he received a Purple Heart Medal and 2 Bronze Stars with “V” Device for heroism in connection with ground operations in the Republic of Vietnam.
He worked as a tool maker and automation specialist for many years, retiring from Chrysler Automotive.
Wayne is survived by his son Paul (Julie) Elliott and his grandsons Alex (Madelaine) Elliott and Nick Elliott.
Wayne loved spending time with friends and family. He will be remembered for the generosity he showed to anyone who needed a helping hand; and he will be remembered most for the love he had for his family.
His grandsons were his pride and joy, and he spent his retirement affording his grandsons every opportunity he never had. Our entire family is better for having had him in our lives.
A celebration of life will be held in Wayne’s honor, at Catch 22 Bistro, 2430 Pointe Tremble Rd, Algonac, MI 48001 on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 12:00pm – 2:00pm EST.
